Field of Glory II: Medieval is the next installment of a series of turn- based tactical games based on the principles of the tabletop battle game cycle. The title was created on the basis of Field of Glory II , and the Byzantine Games studio is responsible for production.

Story
As the name suggests , Field of Glory II: Medival is based on a gameplay model developed for Field of Glory II . In the game, we focus on fighting turn-based battles on boards divided into squares. This time we command the armies of the late Middle Ages, taking part in the conflicts of 1040-1270, such as the Mongol invasion, the Anglo-French conflict and the crusades. We can choose from 29 historical nations such as Anglo-Saxons, Scotland, Norway, Rus, etc. There are over 100 different units available, and in combat we also use the support of generals, increasing the morale and combat potential of the units they command. You should also pay attention to factors such as terrain, armament, and combat formation.

Game modes
Field of Glory II: Medieval allows you to fight historical battles like the Battle of Hastings and Kresenbrunn to see how different events could have happened. In these skirmishes, we can stand against the computer or other players in online mode via e-mail. In addition, there are four campaigns in which we take part in subsequent battles with the participation of, among others Alexander Nevsky and the Mongol hordes. The alternative is a sandbox campaign that allows you to lead any nation, and a random map editor and generator. To play with others, you need a Slitherine PBEM ++ account – the publisher’s proprietary platform.
