Tainted Grail: Conquest is a production that combines elements of RPG, roguelike and card games. The action of this title takes place in the dark universe known from the popular board game Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon (Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon) and inspired by Arthurian legends and Celtic myths. The game was developed and published by the Polish company Awaken Realms Digital.

The world of Tainted Grail: Conquest was created by Polish writer Krzysztof Piskorski. It is an alternative version of the universe known from Arthurian legends, in which the Knights of the Round Table died and the world plunged into chaos caused by a dark force called Wyrdness.

In Tainted Grail: Conquest, we most often look down on the game world, although the camera often changes its position, moving closer and further away to show us events from different perspectives. The production of the Awaken Realms Digital team is an RPG with clearly outlined elements of a roguelike and a card game.

The game takes place on a map, which looks slightly different in each game. The player controls a hero belonging to one of several different classes and explores the environment and fights enemies, thus gaining new items and abilities (the latter are represented by cards that we gradually accumulate, building an increasingly stronger deck). The battles were carried out in a turn-based system – combining attacks and used items into destructive combinations plays a key role here.

In the game, you can also find a base-building mechanic, thanks to which we gain the ability to transfer progress between consecutive approaches.
