In Deponia, the world has degenerated into a vast garbage dump, in which the crotchety Rufus ekes out his sorry existence. He is part of the lowest social class, doomed to live his life in literal mountains of trash. He hopes for an opportunity to get into the world of the rich, who live in a floating city high above the clouds. Fate seems to smile on the snotty good-for-nothing when one day the attractive lady named Goal from the higher sector plummets into one of the trash heaps.

Gameplay
The plot of the game can be characterized as one great comedy of mistakes and the most unbelievable love story that has ever taken place in computer games. This adventure is aimed at all lovers of the style of Douglas Adams (The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy ), Therry Pratchett ( Discworld series ) and Matt Groening (The Simpsons ), so while playing, the smile on the players’ faces should appear quite often. The eponymous Deponia is a planet covered with a lot of rubbish. Among its inhabitants, the main character of the story leads an idyllic life – a certain Rufus, an exceptional choleric and selfish. Moreover, he does not belong to nice people, and his only dream is wealth and a prosperous life somewhere high in a flying city above the surface of the hated planet. One day, when the beautiful Goal falls from one of these cities, an adventure begins that quickly turns out to be more than just a mission to lead the woman home.
