Husk  is a first-person survival horror inspired by classics such as Alan Wake, Silent Hill or Alone in the Dark. Husk is the work of the Polish UndeadScout studio, supported by IMGN.PRO, the creators of the successful horror film Kholat.

Story
The plot of the game was set in the mid-90s in the mysterious town of Shivercliff, which evokes irresistible associations with the setting of David Lynch’s cult series Twin Peaks . During the game we play the role of a Matthew Palmer who, after a train crash, tries to find his lost family . This task, however, proves to be more difficult than expected, because of the world odciętemu Shivercliff close to the infamous Silent Hill series Silent Hill , where evil lurks in every nook and cranny, and the line between nightmare and reality are constantly blurred. At the same time, as in the series, the main character has to deal with the demons that haunt him and the dark past, which we discover as we progress in the plot.

Gameplay
The gameplay mechanics of Husk uses solutions that are quite typical of the survival horror genre , although, unlike the games mentioned at the beginning, the action of the game is shown from a first-person perspective. The gameplay itself focuses mainly on exploring and solving puzzles, revealing new plot elements and dark secrets of Shivercliff town. There are also opportunities to fight in the game, during which we will mainly use blunt weapons – although from time to time there will also be pistols or revolvers. In some places we also face demanding bosses. The main emphasis, however, was placed on the story told, which, although interesting and rich in details, was presented in a slightly more accessible way than in the previous production of IMGN.PRO, entitled Kholat .
