Cities: Skylines is a representative of a city builder strategy. The aim of the game is to tape securely a functional city while maintaining its fluidity. The whole design should be designed from scratch – it starts in an area of 4 square km (with time it can increase it to a maximum of 36 square km) and has to lay roads, arrange residential, commercial and industrial zones, design public transport routes and ensure people’s satisfaction . The next elements related to city management unlocked new, as the costs increase.

There are several types of roads at the player’s disposal that provide different capacity. All (except highways) also allow for the erection of various buildings as well as residential, commercial and industrial zones. If a street is too narrow to ensure a smooth flow of vehicles, traffic jams will arise, obstructing the transport of goods and the movement of people. To function, the city needs adequate infrastructure – electricity, water and garbage disposal – as well as buildings that ensure the safety of residents – police, fire brigade, health protection and funeral services. In addition, the player may also choose to introduce public transport, such as buses. Its role, however, is not limited only to erecting appropriate structures – it must also mark out the lines on which the vehicle is to run. However, erecting each of the structures requires sufficient funds. The city can guarantee its revenues through taxes, exports of goods and profits from public transport. Cities: Skylines also allows you to divide cities into districts. Each of these areas may differ in terms of specialization, tax rates, emphasis on education, and laws.

With All That Jazz, Paradox is introducing an all new kind of traffic jam in Cities: Skylines. The briefly internet-famous Jazz Boatman returns as DJ, so players can dig harder than a jackhammer at a road repair. The new All That Jazz radio station will feature 16 new songs across several smooth genres: Classic, Latin, Funky and Chill-Out Jazz
