VMware vSphere includes the full range of vSphere features for transforming datacenters into a simplified cloud operating environment providing the next generation of speed, security and simplicity.

Features

• Simplified Lifecycle Management Simplify VMware software patching and firmware upgrades with the updated lifecycle manager and update planner. If you prefer to use restful APIs, you can use JSON to automate lifecycle management using vSphere 7.
• Intrinsic Security Secure infrastructure, data, and access with a comprehensive, built-in architecture and a simple, policy-driven model. vSphere 7 introduces remote attestation for sensitive workloads using vSphere Trust Authority. Plus, it secures access and account management using Identity federation with ADFS.
• Performance and Resiliency for Application Acceleration Host large workloads in the data center with a completely redesigned distributed resource scheduler (DRS) that takes a more workload-centric approach. The recent enhancements in vMotion logic provides non-disruptive operations, irrespective of the size of VMs, specifically for large and mission critical workloads. Get enhanced application performance on supported hardware with vSphere persistent memory, providing applications ultra-fast storage at a lower cost.
